Cross Drilled Slotted Rotors
A moving vehicle has a large amount of kinetic energy, the brakes have to absorb and dissipate this energy in order for the vehicle to stop. How do the brakes do this? Each time you stop, your brakes convert the kinetic energy to heat generated by the friction between the pads and the disc. Through the process of dimple drilling and slotting the rotors not only are the rotors lighter in weight, but they cool down much quicker, in turn, will have less fade and brake fluid heating. The unique slots in our rotors help dissipate the gases released from the brake pads during braking.
This "degassing" or "out-gassing" will keep the pads in contact with the rotor resulting in less brake fade and glazing after repeated stops. Dimple drilling of the rotors allows air to flow over a larger area of the rotor, cooling the rotor material and the pad from the extreme heat generated by high-speed panic stops; a brake component's worst enemy. Heavy brake users report reduced rotor warping, increased pad, and rotor life, superior braking performance, faster stops with less fade and improved wet-weather braking. These beautifully machined cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors include the same slotted design as the premium dimpled drilled and slotted brake rotors giving you incredible stopping power while keeping the dust away from your wheels.
The cross-drilled holes are chamfered to eliminate cracking and move air from the disc surface while reducing surface temperature eliminating hot spots and warping. Cross drilled brake discs are machined balanced, surface ground finishes double disk smooth and guaranteed to fit original equipment manufacturer specs without any brake modification. The cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors are sold in pairs and come zinc coated in either black or silver to help prevent rusting and give you a performance race look. We include free lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship and a two-year warranty against warping and cracking.
