IFS Big Brake Upgrade Kit

We have all been there, thinking will these brakes hold up down this grade with the load behind me? You may be one of our weekend warriors that take your "daily" out on rigorous weekend packed with off-roading or racing. Either way, LCE has you covered with our newest kit for the Pickup and 4Runner markets. An "all in one" IFS Big Brake Upgrade Kit.

A moving vehicle has a large amount of kinetic energy, the brakes have to absorb and dissipate this energy in order for the vehicle to stop. Each time you stop, your brakes convert the kinetic energy to heat generated by the friction between the pads and the disc. Through the process of dimple drilling and slotting the rotors not only are the rotors lighter in weight, but they cool down much quicker in turn will have less fade and brake fluid heating.

This "degassing" or "out-gassing" will keep the pads in contact with the rotor resulting in less brake fade and glazing after repeated stops. Dimple drilling of the rotors allows air to flow over a larger area of the rotor, cooling the rotor material and the pad from the extreme heat generated by high speed panic stops; a brake component's worst enemy. Heavy brake users report reduced rotor warping, increased pad and rotor life, superior braking performance, faster stops with less fade and improved wet-weather braking.

The cross drilled holes are chamfered to eliminate cracking and move air from the disc surface while reducing surface temperature eliminating hot spots and warping. Cross drilled brake discs are machined balanced, surface ground finish double disk smooth and guaranteed to fit original equipment manufacturer specs without any brake modification. The cross drilled and slotted brake rotors are zinc coated in black to help prevent rusting and give you a performance race look. We include free lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship and a two-year warranty against warping and cracking.

The calipers doing all the squeezing will be the larger style found on 88-95 V6 Pick-Ups and 4Runners, accompanied by Premium Semi-Metallic and asbestos-free brake pads. D.O.T. approved stainless steel braided brake lines will provide you with the firmest pedal possible, along with a 1" Bore Brake Master Cylinder (w/ custom brake hard line) to provide the additional support. It's all there. no guessing, no forum chasing, no returning incorrect parts.

Kit Includes

  • Cross drilled & slotted rotors
  • Larger V6 style calipers
  • Premium Semi-Metallic asbestos-free brake pads
  • Stainless Steel braided brake lines
  • 1" Brake master cylinder
  • Custom Brake Line (1" bore master cylinder)

NOTE: This kit may have issues clearing some 15" wheels, and due to the larger caliper size wheel spacers may be needed.

5 of 5 Nice Kit July 26, 2022
Reviewer: Sam from Boston, MA
One of my pads was down to the metal to the point where it had ground down the rotor unevenly and the truck was pulling to one side. I did this kit along with the front wheel bearings I got from LCE. Everything fits perfectly and the new soft lines are a nice touch. I have a '91 toyota pickup with 22RE and the rotors ended up being the same size as what was in there so it wasn't an "upgrade" other than having 100% fresh front brakes.

Brakes themselves are great. I feel a lot more confident in my stopping power now. Well worth the money for a safety check on a 30 year old truck, especially if you're not paying a shop to install.
