1650Psi Power Steering Pump
(w/ Pulley)
Trail-Gear’s new Power Flow 1650 psi pump has been designed and engineered to provide ultimate performance. The body of the pump is constructed of steel to increase reliability and decrease wear. It is also equipped with oversized bushings for high H.P. motors and applications with high pump shaft side loads. Trail-Gear’s Power Flow Pumps have one of the highest flow rates in the industry. The Power Flow pump has been endurance tested at 400°F and has a consistent steady flow across all rpm’s and will not bypass early. In addition, the Power Flow pump has heavy-duty internals and is a direct replacement for "TC" and "CB" style pumps.
Specifications:
- Puts out 1,650 PSI of pressure
- The anodized aluminum pulley on this pump is designed to fit Toyota applications
- Each pump is bench tested to ensure quality
- This pump is designed for use in a hydraulic ram assist application
NOTE: Using anything other than a power steering pulley installer to install your pulley on this pump will void the warranty. Never use ATF fluid or a semi-synthetic blend. This will void the warranty. It is ok to use standard power steering fluid. This pump will not fit the stock bracket, see Part #: 2060086 for mounting bracket. This pump is designed to work with full hydraulic steering only. The pump pressure is too high to work with a stock or ram-assist steering application! Maximum pump RPM is 7,000 RPM. Do not drive the pump beyond 7,000 RPMs. If you are using this pump on a custom build, you will need to calculate the correct pump pulley size to ensure you do not exceed 7,000 RPMs on the pump. This part number is for a pump and pulley only; for full kit, with cooler and reservoir, see Part #: 2060090.

Maximum pump RPM is 7,000 RPM. Do not drive the pump beyond 7,000 RPMs. If you are using this pump on a custom build, you will need to calculate the correct pump pulley size to ensure you do not exceed 7,000 RPMs on the pump. The formula to calculate this is as follows:
𝑅𝑃𝑀-𝐸×𝐷-𝐸=𝑅𝑃𝑀-𝑃×𝐷-𝑃
Where:
𝑅𝑃𝑀-𝐸 = 𝑀𝑎𝑥𝑖𝑚𝑢𝑚 𝑅𝑃𝑀'𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑟𝑢𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝐷-𝐸 = 𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑘 𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑦 𝑅𝑃𝑀-𝑃 = 𝑃𝑢𝑚𝑝 𝑅𝑃𝑀'𝑠 𝐷-𝑃 = 𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑢𝑚𝑝 𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑦.
Example: I have a LS engine I will run up to 6,000 RPM. The crank pulley diameter on the engine is 7-1/2”. What diameter pulley do I need to use on my Power Flow™ pump to make sure it doesn’t spin faster than 7,000 rpm?
𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑢𝑚𝑝 𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑦 𝐷-𝑃 = (6,000 × 7.5) ÷ 7,000 = 6.42 𝑖𝑛𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑠.
Since 6.42” diameter pump pulleys are not readily available, you would need to move to the next largest diameter, which would be 6-1/2”.
